Deli’s Continental, Inglewood
This one’s got seen on Perth is OK!, Broadsheet, and SBS Food for no reason other than a good conti sanga. This Inglewood-based sandwich store (more specifically a dedicated continental roll store) is an eye-stopper for its crispy-fresh panini toasties.
As mentioned by Perth is OK, this sandwich shop makes its own bread and uses a flash-baking process. And that gets a nod from us. We know that not only does flash-baked bread make the best kind of good toasties, flash-baking keeps sangas packed with the same nutrients it came in before toasting.
Melville General Store / Angelo Street Market, Myaree
Which name ‘ya see on the paper depends on which paper. Notable for their carefully-bundled rolls of locally sourced cheese, meats, and antipasti, these sibling sandwich stores sell continental rolls mentioned in Perth is OK and Broadsheet.
The Re Store, Leederville
This Perth sandwich store’s got a name less generic than the other continental roll shop that’s gotten a shoutout from Perth is OK, Broadsheet, and SBS Food. Perth’s favourite sandwich swung in full gear in the ‘50s thanks to this conti roll classic.
An Italian grocer that’s been around in the 30’s! ‘Ya can thank their nonnas for the whole conti roll legacy. As a Perth sandwich shop ourselves, we sure do.
Mondo Doro, O’Connor
Even without checking out their Broadsheet snippet, we knew continental rolls from Mondo Doro were bound to taste epic. This family-run smallgoods manufacturer is dedicated to using 100% Australian pork and beef.
With their deli meats made in-house, ‘ya can be sure their conti rolls are quality and fresh. How do we know? We had ‘em over for our 5th birthday. The Loaded Conti sampling event was an awesome Mondo Doro collab, and we’ve been using their awesome cold cuts in our own continental roll, too.
Honestly, Perth is OK and SBS? ‘Ya been missing out. Way to go, Broadsheet.

Another source of continental rolls at an Italian-style grocer, this sandwich shop’s bound to give ‘ya that European gourmet experience right here at Morley, Perth.
Piccolo Deli, Subiaco
Garlic-lovers and focaccia fanatics are gonna love this one, we just know it. This sandwich store based in Subiaco may be less-often mentioned in the papers, but impossible to miss in person. Stroll by, have a waft of aromatic Italian cuisine, ‘ya gonna end up sitting down for a bite of their conti rolls.

La Mortazza, North Perth
Italian heritage is kept alive in North Perth by this family-owned cafe. A self-proclaimed cultural melting pot where “Italian meets Australian,” this source of conti rolls is a one-stop shop serves both Aussie favourite avocado-on-toast and savoury Italian omelette for a balanced brekkie to getcha powering through the day.

A family-run pandemic baby of a resilient food biz, Perth sandwich shop Joey Zaza’s withstood challenges in operations, staffing, and marketing to give ‘ya awesome continental rolls today.
